According to The Beat and The Washington Post, anyway. Cool beans! I can't wait to teach A.D. in my "New and Multimodal Literacies" graduate class next semester!

Okay, that's it! I request you put a stop to the boasting of awesome courses you get to teach ;-)
Being a Comp. Instructor, I don't get to teach much else, but I get psyched whenever you mention on of yours. I do get to teach my first lit class next semester though--totally stoked :-)
Hey, to date, UTEP has not let me teach a straight-up graphic novels course, and it is causing me much consternation and professional angst. There may be plans in the works to fix that, but just know that we both have our current aggrivations when it comes to what we're allowed to teach.
In the meantime, kick some a$$ in your first lit class!! :)
That is frustrating! Even my department is letting me teach my lit class on comics. Granted, it's only a 100-level, so there isn't much at stake if I screw up ;-) I guess you're right, though, the grass is always greener on the other side :-)
